Finally some Christmas Pics!

I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to post Christmas pictures but we have spent basically the last 3 weeks fighting off sickness. I started off going to the hospital with the stomach flu. I was then taking Janeta to the hospital 3 days later. Now Mateo is fighting bronchitis. I'm officially sick of me and my family being sick!! I actually felt somewhat okay on Christmas and loved every second of seeing my babies enjoy the true Christmas spirit though. Mateo waking up to find that Santa had left him a note. I guess the elf on the shelf that reported back to Santa on Christmas eve mentioned that he had been a good boy. He also realized that Santa drank the milk and ate 2 cookies but left a part of one...
So he figured he should probably finish the cookie for Santa.

Rub a dub dub, One princess in a sink

Ok, because as you fellow bloggers know, when you upload pics they basically show up in backwards order so the bath pics are last. This first pic is Mateo just cracking up because Janeta crawled under her exosaucer to eat her cracker and just chilled there like that was exactly what an almost 7 month old girl was supposed to do. Janeta loves to grab anything within reach, especially faces. Her cousin Diego loves to make her smile and she in turn loves to grab his cheeks when he smiles!

I had posted pictures of Mateo when he woke up at this same age (6-7 months) and they do almost the exact same thing. Janeta will peer out and start a game of peekaboo and carry on a full conversation as if someone is on the recieving end of the communication. She just melts my heart.

Ok finally, the bath pics. I have officially switched Janeta to the sink because it's just the perfect size. I was just waiting on her ability to sit up well. I lover her chubs too!

Gotta love that head of hair. I can now put it in a ponytail!!

6 month stats!

Janeta is now 15 pounds 9 ounces and 26 1/2 inches long. She's crawling everywhere and still melts my heart each and every day. I can't believe I even doubted that I could love anyone as much as Mateo!

Here are the serious and happy faces from Janeta. Mateo shows me his serious face quite often now. We had such a good time in Big Bear and are SO looking forward to the holiday season!!

Superman, Kitty, and a Milestone

So Mateo had said he wanted to be every superhero in the book as well as an assortment of Star Wars characters so we were super excited when he LOVED his superman costume. He hasn't really wanted to take it off. He was spinning webs like a true superhero! Janeta enjoyed her kitty costume as well. We rehearsed before the big day so Mateo knew exactly what to say at each doorstep. Trick or Treat and Thankyou very much... As you can see from the picture below Janeta is enamoured by her big brother.


So just in the last couple weeks, Janeta has started to roll over both ways and now she is crawling. Well it's the commando scoot as I like to call it but she is completely mobile now! Here is a video of her latest milestone and Mateo in his undies (we still haven't mastered the whole potty training thing!!).

Yummy For My Tummy

So we decided to let Janeta try rice cereal. She got most of it on herself rather than in her mouth but it was sure cute to watch. Brother Mateo loved being my little helper and is always playing an active role in Janeta's care.

Because she already has 2 teeth coming in, chewing on the spoon was just the ticket!
What is this stuff and can someone get this crazy hair out of my eyes?

Thumbs up mom! And it's off to the bath to clean up! I think I've used a whole bottle of baby shampoo on this girl's head!

Hairspray

Hey when you're born with this much hair, you're bound to have hairdays like this...have I told you how much I love this baby girl?? She already has 2 teeth coming in!

4 months and 2 1/2 years old!!

We took Janeta to her 4 month appointment on Tuesday and she weighs 13.1 pounds and is almost 25 inches long. I am in awe that my baby girl is 4 months old and my son will be 2 1/2 years old in a couple weeks! Wow how time flies! They are amazing and so I thought I would upload a couple of my flip videos for you to watch!
The first video is Mateo's classic stroll into mama and dada's room at 7 in the morning. He cracks me up! The second video is of Janeta playing in her crib after after she woke up in the morning. This is how this sweet girl wakes up all of the time now! It sure makes it hard to leave in the morning!
