Janeta turns 1

Ok, I had to start with this picture because it was one of the most endearing things I've ever witnessed. My father-in-law is not a "warm and fuzzy" affectionate man but he is puddy in Janeta's hands. He presented her with a pink guitar and sang her the very same song he sang to Cesar when he was born. Janeta stared at him in awe and it was so incredibly touching. I adore the relationship my children have with their grandparents. This is Nana Cynthia (Janeta's middle name) and she is what makes the world go round. My children think Nana is the most precious, funny, creative being on the planet and SHE IS! We are so very thankful to have her in our lives!
Hitting the Hello Kitty pinata! She didn't quite understand why kids would want to beat the daylights out of her good friend Hello Kitty!!

Janeta and her daddy

Janeta playing with her cousin Roman after inhaling her birthday cake, you can't tell that she engulfed a thousand calories of sugar can you?!?! lol

Cake. Enough said.

Me and my baby girl.

We had a marionette puppet show and it was amazing. Here are the kids enjoying the show.

Easter

Mateo carefully mixing colors for his Easter eggs! Finished products
Janeta sat here and played with her and Mateo's Easter goodies for the longest time!

Hhmmm, this egg doesn't taste so good!

Me and my handsome Mateo

My uncle was here and it was so wonderful to see him. He's my last living relative and I haven't seen him for almost 10 months so this visit was so great. The kids had a great time and weren't shy at all!

Mateo Turns 3!

We had a baseball themed party (see pics below) and then headed to San Diego for some beach and Sea World fun. Janeta still puts everything in her mouth so keeping her from eating the sea plants that had washed up on shore was hard!

Here's Mateo and Cesar running away from the water.
Janeta also tried to eat a little bit of sand, she didn't seem to mind its gritty texture.
Me and my big 3 year old!

I don't own a baseball jersey so I wore Cesar's college baseball jersey.
There were a lot of Dodger fans..
Janeta sitting at the big girl table :)
Mateo loved this bubble mower. I don't think he stopped pushing it around for like 2 hours!
Sea World pics to come in a later posting....

Lots of Giggles and Homework

Mateo knows that both of his parents are teachers and talks about going to school all of the time. He tells us things his teacher has taught him which is hilarious. He's looking at his new Ranger Rick magazine in his chonies during this video and wants to make sure that you know his magazine says he lives on Chavez Road!

Janeta can be so giggly sometimes and especially when her big brother Mateo plays with her! Her laughing expression brings pure joy to all who witness it...so enjoy.

I Can't Keep My Eyes Off Her!!

For 2 reasons: She's just too stinkin cute and she crawls at lightning speed. This girl pulls herself up on everything and surfs around the furniture like it's nothing! These next couple pics I thought were hilarious because she just sat there like "What do you want?" She must have relaxed on that boppy pillow with her bottle for like 20 minutes straight. She loves her feet right now too so she had to throw that up there for at least one of the pics.

It's no mystery that Janeta has enough hair for a couple babies combined but I had to throw this one in because her hair is literally pulled up like this half the time because I can't
keep it back any other way. This is the smile I'm always trying to capture and I seem to always miss it...so here it is...simply priceless.

This video is of Janeta "prancing" down the hall. She cracks me up and continues to be so stinking cute!

This one is of Janeta playing with her activity center. She is so active and inquisitive right now. I love this stage!

Finally some Christmas Pics!

I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to post Christmas pictures but we have spent basically the last 3 weeks fighting off sickness. I started off going to the hospital with the stomach flu. I was then taking Janeta to the hospital 3 days later. Now Mateo is fighting bronchitis. I'm officially sick of me and my family being sick!! I actually felt somewhat okay on Christmas and loved every second of seeing my babies enjoy the true Christmas spirit though. Mateo waking up to find that Santa had left him a note. I guess the elf on the shelf that reported back to Santa on Christmas eve mentioned that he had been a good boy. He also realized that Santa drank the milk and ate 2 cookies but left a part of one...
So he figured he should probably finish the cookie for Santa.

Mateo checking out his stocking. You gotta love the snow monster from Rudolph.
Janeta opening her stocking. Santa had to give her a hello kitty rattle of course :)Who doesn't love a bike from Santa that is personalized with stickers?
Janeta opening her first present. I think all babies love ripping paper!

I love this pic because these are the presents that they hand-picked for each other. Janeta and mommy got a purse lol!

My baby girl playing with her wooden activity center from Santa. She loves this thing!
