4 months and 2 1/2 years old!!

We took Janeta to her 4 month appointment on Tuesday and she weighs 13.1 pounds and is almost 25 inches long. I am in awe that my baby girl is 4 months old and my son will be 2 1/2 years old in a couple weeks! Wow how time flies! They are amazing and so I thought I would upload a couple of my flip videos for you to watch!
The first video is Mateo's classic stroll into mama and dada's room at 7 in the morning. He cracks me up! The second video is of Janeta playing in her crib after after she woke up in the morning. This is how this sweet girl wakes up all of the time now! It sure makes it hard to leave in the morning!

After a Long Day at Work...

I get to come home to this: My sweet baby boy passed out looking like such the perfect gentlemen. God I love this little boy. He is so sweet to his sister and he melts my heart.
It was so hot last week and today it was finally in the 80's. Tonight was actually a bit chilly so I bundled up my little Janeta for our nightly walk.

I think she's starting to get some teeth because she has had a cold, slobbers like crazy, and can't keep her hands or anything else out of her mouth. She also melts my heart. Just in the last couple weeks she has turned into the sweetest, happiest little cutie ever! We are adoring every interaction with this little girl!

No pics this time so I will just have to give you a written visual....my house is in shambles, both my kiddos are sick, my blood sugars are all over the place, I'm working off of a couple hours of sleep, and I have 35 5th graders walking through my classroom door tomorrow.....does that spell it out clear enough....HA! Washington Apples

We made it home to Washington after a 2 year absence and it was really nice. It's crazy how much things change when you're gone. We stayed with my best friend Shannon and I miss her already. Here are some pics from some of the things we did.... We visited my uncle James. He was able to play with us at the park, show us his beautiful house and garden and take us to a yummy dinner.
I was able to stop by my grandparents' house and take a pic with Mateo on the swing I grew up swinging on.

Of course we had to take the kiddos to Lattin's Country Cider Mill since it's across the street from my house and the cutest place ever!

Here's my besty Shannon and her adorable son Jayden. Seeing her makes me miss her even more. When I do see her it's as if time never passed! I thank my lucky stars I have her and hope everyone finds a friend like her sometime in their life!

Okay we went to the Great Wolf Lodge and those pictures will be next....(It was awesome!)

Thriving

If you remember back a couple months ago, I posted about the planter boxes Cesar and Mateo made. Well my friends, they are flourishing! We have grean beans, cilantro, strawberries, jalapenos, serrano chiles, corn, tomatoes, citrus, and more tasty things coming... Mateo is especially excited because he has played such an active role in creating, planting, watering, and maintaining these plants! He's just like his mama because he eats the tomatoes right off the vine! He says they're yummy! This is the start of our compost pile.

Wow I'm Blessed

I was finishing up dinner tonight and looked outside to see my husband and my son holding hands and walking around on the back upper portion of our property. Janeta was sleeping and I couldn't help but think about how fortunate I am to have the life I live! June and July are extremely busy months and I can't help but remember that that my mother passed away in June and my grandpa passed away in July and they would be so proud of the person I've become and the gifts I've recieved. My kids are healthy and happy, my husband is a great provider and amazing father, my extended family is absolutely amazing and supportive, and we live in a beautiful house in a great deal of property that our kids are going to be able to enjoy for many years to come. We've had so many hardships, deaths, and struggles over the past couple years but man look at all the amazing things that have been created and developed! The Chavez cup is definitely half full not half empty. Thanks for listening to my sappy post.....:)
