We decided to go camping in Woodcrest (our backyard). Cesar did a great job making it special for all of Mateo's cousins. We set up camp complete with a campfire, tents, food and drinks. We were hoping this would be a great start to some real camping for Mateo but he decided that sleeping in his own bed was more appropriate. Ha! He couldn't quite figure out why someone would sleep outside when their house was right there!

Cesar split the kids into 2 teams and gave them each a kite. The first team to get it flying high in the air in the hands of the youngest teammate won (the prize was to eat first). Mateo's team won! He is explaining the rules to all of the kids...

What's camping without smores?? I think this was by far Mateo's favorite part of camping.
And we couldn't forget our dear little Janeta who slept through it all!

What a wonderful time! you must have a huge backyard! Your husband organizing the contests totally reminds me of my husband Vinny...he is always doing the same thing with all of the kids here! You guys are awesome!!!
