I have mentioned in earlier posts how Mateo loves his craftsman tool set. He especially loves helping dada with projects around the house. Cesar really wanted to make some planter boxes and of course recruited his handy sidekick Mateo to help him. After being told to go get his tools, Mateo says "Yes dada, I go get my hammer and drill and fix it!" I thought the safety goggles really added to the seriousness of this project.

Where's my baby boy?

I am a little bit in shock that I'm trying to plan my son's 2nd birthday party! Wasn't he just born? I know that every mom says time flies when talking about their children but it's so true. I'm anxiously looking forward to my daughter's arrival as I embrace Mateo's growth into independence. He saw my belly move today and said "Sister's in there!" and my heart melted.Saturday, March 6, 2010
Sweet Juicy Oranges
Cesar thought I was so weird for busting out my camera to take these pics, but I just can't completely describe how unbelievably good our oranges are right now! We have two trees that have produced the sweetest, juiciest oranges ever. I know you can't taste a picture but hopefully they do them justice.

Morning Bliss
I used these coffee grounds...
It's been quite a treat to make one of these each morning just the way I like it!

Baby's Nursery
Cesar finished painting the nursery on Valentine's Day and it looks like Neopolitan ice cream! It's adorable. There are 2 light brown walls and one pink. We left the twin bed in her room and just exchanged the green sheets from Mateo's camping theme to pink. The crib will be coming soon and I can't wait to see how the bedding will look with these colors!
Here is the changing table/hutch we had made. It's amazing that in 3 months it will be put to use!

Could I love anyone more?

New Room
We moved Mateo into a new big boy"CARS" room and he loves it! I didn't take many pics of the room for some strange reason so look for those in another post BUT I did snap a pic of him in his new big boy bed and reading area. I walked in yesterday to check on him because he had slept for so long and judging by the picture, I can tell. He looked so comfortable! I love to walk in and see him doing puzzles or reading books by himself (a teacher's dream right?!?).
